Frequently asked questions

What is the LEA?

The Licensed Electrician's Assessment is the set of three assessments (SWP, LET and LEP) you need to pass to apply for an electrician's licence in Victoria. Energy Safe Victoria sets the requirements and approves the assessment centres.

What is the pass mark?

You need a result of 75% or higher in each of the three assessments. Check the Energy Safe Victoria website for the current rules, including waiting periods before a reattempt.

Are these the real exam questions?

No. All questions are original and written for practice. They are based on AS/NZS 3000 (and AS/NZS 4836:2023 for the SWP) and the kinds of topics covered in the LEA, but they are not taken from any actual assessment.

Will this guarantee I pass?

No. Practice tests are a study aid. How you go on the day depends on your own preparation, your training and your on-the-job experience.

Can an online quiz prepare me for the SWP?

Partly. The SWP is a practical assessment, so our SWP quiz checks your knowledge of the isolation sequence and equipment requirements only. Practise the sequence hands-on too, and check the current requirements on Energy Safe Victoria's website before your assessment.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. The site works in any modern phone, tablet or computer browser.

How much does it cost?
